More Than Aerial Photography
While aerial photography and video production remain at the core of Elevated Media Concepts, our capabilities extend far beyond traditional drone imagery. We use a variety of aircraft, cameras, sensors, and processing technologies to capture visual information in ways that can support production, marketing, documentation, inspection, mapping, and measurement.
Aerial Photography & Video Production
From cinematic aerial imagery to live-event coverage, EMC provides professional aerial photography and video for commercial productions, sporting events, venues, construction projects, properties, and promotional campaigns. Our background in live television production allows us to approach every project with an understanding of camera movement, composition, timing, and how aerial imagery fits into the larger production.
360° Aerial Imaging, Video & Immersive Experiences
360° capture allows us to create immersive experiences that place the viewer inside a location rather than simply showing it to them. Viewers can look in virtually any direction from a single aerial position or move through a captured environment, creating a much more interactive way to explore a property, venue, construction site, event space, or destination.
These immersive experiences can be incorporated into websites, virtual tours, presentations, marketing campaigns, construction documentation, site visualization, and other interactive applications. By combining aerial positioning with 360° imagery and video, EMC can provide perspectives and experiences that are difficult to achieve with traditional photography or video alone.
Drone Flythroughs
Smaller and more specialized drone platforms allow us to move beyond traditional outdoor aerial photography and capture dynamic flythrough perspectives in and around buildings, venues, facilities, and other complex environments. These flights can create a continuous visual journey through a space and offer perspectives that conventional cameras cannot easily achieve.
Thermal Imaging
Thermal-capable aircraft allow EMC to capture information beyond what is visible to the human eye. Thermal imaging can assist with building and roof inspections, heat-loss identification, electrical and mechanical observations, solar-panel inspections, search applications, and other projects where temperature differences can provide useful information.
Photogrammetry & 3D Mapping
Photogrammetry transforms hundreds or thousands of overlapping aerial photographs into detailed digital representations of a site or object. These datasets can be used for far more than simply creating a 3D model.
Depending on the project, photogrammetry can provide:
High-resolution orthomosaic maps — geometrically corrected aerial maps that allow an entire site to be viewed from directly overhead.
Precise measurements — measure distances, areas, elevations, and other dimensions directly from the captured data.
3D models and digital site documentation — create detailed representations that can be viewed, revisited, and compared throughout a project.
Stockpile and material calculations — estimate volumes of soil, stone, aggregate, and other stored materials for inventory and project accounting.
Construction progress documentation — capture a site repeatedly to create a visual and measurable record of how a project changes over time.
Pre-bury documentation — record utilities, conduit, piping, drainage, and other infrastructure before it is covered, providing a visual reference that can be accessed later.
Elevation and surface analysis — identify changes in terrain, grading, slopes, drainage patterns, and surface conditions.
Site comparison and change detection — compare datasets captured at different stages to identify and measure changes over time.
Technology Applied to the Project
We don't approach every job with the same aircraft or the same camera. EMC maintains multiple drone platforms and imaging technologies so we can select the equipment and workflow that best match the needs of each project.
Whether the goal is producing a compelling image, flying a live camera for a broadcast, creating an immersive 360° experience, documenting a construction site, identifying thermal differences, or building an accurate measurable model, our focus is on using the technology to produce information and imagery that is genuinely useful to the client.
